Optimus Prime and Ratchet investigated a crashed Autobot ship on Earth when they discovered every crew member had died from the plague. Optimus was infected when a corpse hanging above him dripped plague fluid onto him.
Ratchet brought him back to Autobot Outpost Omega One. Realizing Megatron would have the cure, Arcee and Bumblebee GroundBridged to the Nemesis. Discovering Megatron's comatose body, Bumblebee entered his mind via cortical psychic patch to convince him to give it to them. Megatron showed a hologram of the antidote to barter with Bumblebee, but Ratchet recorded it, and was able to cure Optimus. Sick Mind
