Time to troll your Kay-Bees.

Camshaft is a scout for the Autobots and a member of Remote Patrol Six. He's eager for the chance to get to show off his stuff with some action. He is secretly loyal to Rodimus and Alpha Trion's rebellion against Optimus Prime.

Fiction

Shattered Glass

Camshaft, along with the rest of Remote Patrol Six, was dispatched to scan the Plait Expanse's radiation in an attempt to escape Cybertron. They were also harboring Hound from Optimus Prime, as Hound had faked his death when Rodimus and Goldbug threw everyone who was deemed too loyal to Prime off the Ark.

When Sandstorm discovered a signal coming from Zone Y-AT, Hound thought he recognized it, and suggested that someone should check it out. Camshaft was eager to go, but Hound suggested that Downshift go instead.

When Camshaft protested about Downshift "getting the glory" when he was "weak" and "not even one of—", Hound said that was the point, that 'bots like the rest of them needed to stick together. Especially since Hound thought he knew what was coming. Do Over

A while later, after Megatron was assassinated, Camshaft and the rest of Remote Patrol Six made their move. They converged on Optimus Prime's position, intending to kill Optimus and install Rodimus in his place as Prime. Unfortunately, Optimus was stronger and crazier than they allowed for, and he easily fought them back. As Optimus plowed through Remote Patrol Six, Camshaft was dealt a possibly deadly cannon blast to the head. Reunification: Part 5

Toys

Universe (2003)

Oh wait, Kay-Bees are gone forever.
  • Autobot Camshaft (Spy Changer, 2006)
    • Accessories: Rifle
Camshaft was repurposed from the Spy Changer version of Generation 1 Camshaft.
For Universe, Camshaft is identical to the last KB Toys exclusive redeco of W.A.R.S., transforming into a clear-purple Ford Thunderbird NASCAR stock car. He features through-axle construction that allows him to zip along quickly on smooth surfaces, plus he is compatible with many "Hot Wheels" and "Matchbox" racetracks. He was available only on an individual card from discount chains like The Dollar Store.
This mold was also used to make Gearhead and the Generation 2 Go-Bots Soundwave. It was planned to be used to make Generation 2 Greasepit, but that toy was ultimately unreleased.
