Big Serow is an Autobot-allied Beastformer from the Headmasters portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Bambi II: Judgment Day.

Big Serow (ビッグセロウ Bigguserō) is White Leo's adjutant, a fierce but fair fighter and tactical specialist in the war against the Decepticon conquerors on planet Beast. He is the King of Saitan, the country (one of 38 on planet Beast) of his birth. Presumably this was his occupation before Alligatron's Decepticon-backed uprising sent White Leo's followers into hiding. He is specifically targeted by the evil Killer Fish for retribution over an injury Serow gave him years ago.

Whether or not he has any relation to Little Serow is unknown.

Fiction

The Headmasters cartoon

Voice actor: Yoshitada Ōtsuka
This deer is loaded for bear.

Big Serow was a member of White Leo's rebels, fighting against the Decepticons and their allies, Alligatron and the evil Beests. He appeared to operate as White Leo's second-in-command and top advisor. Big Serow and his friends assembled when the Autobots arrived and launched an assault on the underground slave pits. Thanks to the Battleship Maximus draining the water, they could pass the lake of metal-eating fish and free the slaves. Rebellion on Planet Beast

The Headmasters/Beastformers

  • Big Serow (Beastformer, 1987)
    • Beast ID number: 2
    • Accessories: "Big Boomerang" blade
Big Serow is an anthropomorphic serow deer with green robotic armor. His left arm ends in a (non-spinning) drill. He came with his "Big Boomerang" blade-weapon. His rubsign reveals one of three symbols; Fire, Water or Wood.

  • Big Serow white version (Beastformer, 1987)
    • Beast ID number: 2
    • Accessories: weapon
A solid-white version of Big Serow was sold through gumball machines in Japan. The gumball versions of the Beastformers appeared to have randomized weapons (or just crummy QC).

Notes

  • "Big Serow" seems to be a misnomer, as serows (a species of ungulate found in Asia) tend to be more goat-like, with bushier coats and short horns.

Foreign names

  • English: Deer Stalker
