Flashpoint

Flashpoint is an Autobot from the Transformers Animated continuity family.

Betcha didn't see that one coming.

Flashpoint is presumably somebody who gets concerned with public accidents. Red Alert? I never heard of the nice girl.

Notes

• Flashpoint is very roundabout homage to the movie Inferno: a redeco of the original Armada Red Alert toy, movie-Inferno's deco (and a similar helmet/face) was applied to the Animated Red Alert body, which was based on the Armada Red Alert character. We do love a roundabout homage here at TFWiki.
  • Why, the only thing we love more is multiple homages in one, and Flashpoint doesn't disappoint in that area either: she's also sporting Generation 1 Inferno's ear-fins, and Energon Inferno's golden stomach/chest grill.
• She does not have the name "Inferno", though, due to not wanting redundancy with the Decepticon Animated Inferno who was based on Beast Wars Inferno. Unnamed in "Moving Violations", her real name was not revealed until her character model was posted to deviantArt.
• The Armada Red Alert mold featured a pair of interchangeable tools that could be plugged into an empty socket in his left wrist. Animated Red Alert paid homage to this concept, but it was noted that she had lost her hand in battle and had the tools installed in its place. Flashpoint, on the other hand (har har), still has both her hands, but can, according to her character model, swap her hand out for a triple-barrelled extinguisher attachment. This doo-dad is designed after the tri-barrelled attachment that came with the Red Alert mold.
