The Autobot plague victims are Autobots from the Transformers: Prime portion of the Aligned continuity family.

Energon infected with Cybonic plague drips from the body of a victim.

Optimus Prime and Ratchet went to investigate an Autobot distress signal. They found a centuries old crashed ship and entered it in hopes of finding survivors. Instead, they found multiple dead bodies. After scanning the bodies, Ratchet concluded that they didn't die in the crash, but from an ancient virus known as the Cybonic plague. The ship moved and one of the victims' bodies, which hung from the ceiling, dripped infected energon. The energon fell into the eye of Optimus Prime, causing him to be infected. Sick Mind
