The Rattlesnake 500 Desert Road Rally is an off-road race that takes place in the desert near the Grand Canyon. Because the terrain is so rugged, the only way for the Go News Network to cover it is by helicopter.

No sooner had the Road Rally begun than it was disrupted by two unauthorized entrants—Racer-Bot ALPHA and Racer-Bot BETA. The two Go-Bots, hopped up on an experimental substance named Go-Brillium, barged through the middle of the field, scattering cars. Luckily the Go-Bot Protectors had been alerted to the rampage and arrived to lend a hand. Hauler-Bot lifted the stand full of spectators out of the way of the rampaging duo, and Aero-Bot saved a couple of the racing humans when their cars were knocked flying by the two renegade Go-Bots. The twins were finally brought under control when they tried to jump the Grand Canyon and their Go-Brillium gave out. They were returned to the starting line, to the cheers of the spectators.
