Skyhammer (DOTM)

Skyhammer is an Autobot from the Dark of the Moon portion of the live-action film series continuity family.

Because "Skyrifletoenergonsword" was just unwieldy.

Skyhammer has never known the meaning of true peace. I few years after being built, destruction rained over his small robot city. he and his greatest friend, Shockwave looked out for eachother. However, as the years of war past, Shockwave decided to sacrifice his emotions for intellgince. Megatron found him and easily persuaded him to join the over-powerful Decepticons. Shockwave was sent out to kill Skyhammer, and after escaping death, he fell into deep depression to lose his friend, and left Cybertron. He became the greastest Autobot Renegade known, even Megatron came to respect his cunning skills. He robbed from both sides to survive, he worked to protect only himself.

But both sides became sick of him, and both worked to kill of him. He had to escape Cybertron, and he fell into deep space. After many decades, his ship crashed landed on Earth. He became friends with the humans around him, who helped him. But Decepticons found him, and hunted him down. They killed many humans, and Skyhammer was angry. He decided it was his job to protect the humans, and so he did.

After 5 years of protecting humans from rampaging decepticons, he found out that Autobots were also trying to protect the humans, so he packed his bags, and went to meet the Autobots. He didn't know what to expect, but he was greeted by a young Autobot, called Jolt. They got on well, and soon met up with IronHide and Chromia. They four became good friends, and Skyhammer decided he must stop regretting the loss of his greatest friend, Shockwave, and live to protect the humans.

Part of the second wave of Dark of the Moon Voyagers, Skyhammer transforms into a made-up assault helicopter that resembles a Eurocopter Tiger. As part of the MechTech series, he has a large weapons system that converts from a double-barreled rifle to his Energon Sword. He also features two detachable missile pods underneath his wings. His hands can wield either weapon, and he also features an additional port on each of his forearms, a pair on each of his wings, one underneath his cockpit, one on both sides of his Mechtech weapon, and one on the backs of each of his shoulder cockpit halves.

An unofficial but quite awesome feature, his rotors can be transformed and extended out to freely spin from his chest. However, despite the claims of the instructions, the rotors cannot be fully detached from the robot.

The MechTech weapon may be locked into extended position by pushing the trigger in all the way and turning it. However, due to the complexity of the gearing, excessive force may be required unless you get one that was assembled juuuuust right. If you start to see stress marks, or the housing separates, stop.
