Communicubes are Cybertronian technology from the Generation 1 continuity family.

A communicube is a cube-shaped device used for communicative purposes. (Apparently, whoever invented it didn't wish to waste too much time on naming it.) A communicube allows for direct communication between two locations and displays the person on the other end on at least five of its sides. It is unclear whether the party that transmits to a communicube has one of their own or uses a different kind of device to support the contact.

Fiction

Marvel Generation 1 UK comics

Springer gave Impactor a communicube from Xaaron after he and the other Autobot Triple Changers beat him up. Through the communicube, Xaaron explained to Impactor that it had been for his own good, because now he knew they'd make a proper replacement for Ultra Magnus in Operation: Volcano. An understandably frustrated Impactor crushed the communicube in response.

Just before Operation: Volcano reached its final stage, Astrotrain brought the Decepticon would-be targets a communicube from Megatron, through which he ordered them all to return to Polyhex immediately. Target: 2006
