Rescue Force 2 is an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.
My head is a kitty for no reason! Also, please ignore the encroaching foot!

Rescue Force 2 is a member of Rescue Force, a team of search-and-rescue Autobots, and is willing to save even his enemies when they are in trouble. He specializes in using his "molecul breaking-up weapon" to clear paths, and is also notably strong and fast in vehicle mode.

He combines with the rest of the Rescue Force to form Big Rescue Force.

The Rescue Force went to save Goldbug and several Targetmasters after they were captured by the Decepticons. Their efforts proved unnecessary, however, as the captives managed to escape on their own. Transformers in Action: Shockwave's Galactic Secret

Yes, these blasters make me look much more peaceful than missiles would!
Simply called "Rescue Force" on his packaging, Rescue Force 2 is a redeco of the Breastforce member Jallguar, transforming into a Baja-style racing buggy with rear-mounted...uh, "missile" rack. It lacks Jallguar's partner-beastie Jaguarbreast, but comes with a pair of blaster accessories, which fit into the connector gaps in the front of the buggy-mode's rack. These guns also have holes that allow them to connect to the sides of the rack as well. It was available only in various European markets at the very end of the Generation 1 series.
The earlier versions of the buggy have a gold robot-mode face, but later releases use silver. In addition, the blasters were originally molded in silver as well, but later changed to red. The gold-faced version only came with silver weapons, while the silver-faced version could come with either the silver or red blasters.

Notes

  • Rescue Force 2's packaging gives him no name, or even an individual identifier of any sort. Like the concurrently released non-combining versions of the Constructicons, each member of the Rescue Force used the same cardback design, featuring all four members' art up front and directions for all four members on the back. While this is thrifty, it's also crowded, leaving no room whatsoever for anything else. His rather unimaginative name and muddled bio information come from a sticker book distributed in Europe by Kent in 1993.
  • The original Breastforce molds used to make the Rescue Force are (largely) self-contained combiners, able to form a super robot. Rescue Force 2 can still become the hips to a super robot using any combination of the molds. The toy packaging does not make any mention of this, largely because the Rescue Force team lacks both the two arm-robots and the only separate piece of combiner kibble, the super robot helmet.
  • The 1992 European catalog that includes the Rescue Force (as well as the Turbomasters, Predators and the non-combining Constructicons) refers to his vehicle form as an "armoured water cannon".
  • Rescue Force 2's box-art, being just a color-retouched version of Jallguar's (with a new hand-weapon, of course), still shows Jaguarbreast in its chestplate configuration on the robot.
