Gimlet, detached from the Maximals and in the far past, joins the Predacons as more vehicular Transformers arrive from the other universe.
Synopsis
Traveling through a time warp from another universe, the Decepticon Starscream teams up with the Predacon Megatron to steal the energy of planet Energoa. Starscream was acting on his own, intending to use the energy for his own purposes.
Meanwhile, leaving the Maximals for unknown reasons, Gimlet ventures back in time to planet Energoa through unknown means to join up with Megatron's Predacons. Once there, he quickly becomes rivals with the Maximal Tigatron and partners with the Decepticon Blackout.
Facing off against his rival, Gimlet attempts to chop off the Maximal's head with his "Lobslicer", but Tigatron counters with his "Tiger Shot". Gimlet and Blackout then find themselves under attack from Cheetor, Optimus Primal, Ironhide, Ratchet and Jazz. As Blackout goes up against Optimus Primal, Gimlet first comes under fire from Cheetor (shooting at him from the high ground) and then face-to-face with Jazz. Back-up for the villains soon arrives in the form of Starscream, who battles Tigatron within the treetops.
As the battle rages on, a new contender appears: the Decepticon Megatron. And he isn't happy.

Notes
- This chapter was included on a DVD with the Japanese version of "The Spark" and a promotional reel for Transformers, including comments from Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay.
- The accompanying Data File notes several facts about Gimlet, including his Tech Specs. His running speed is 100 kilometers per hour, his jump distance is 6 meters, and his maximum output is 780,000 horsepower. In robot mode, his weapons include the Hand Scissors and the Lobslicers.
