Tesshō Genda (玄田 哲章 Genda Tesshō) is a Japanese voice actor. He was born in Okayama, Japan on May 20, 1948, as Mitsuo Yokoi (横居 光雄 Yokoi Mitsuo).

Some of his most famous roles include Umibōzu in City Hunter and Angel Heart, Guile in many of the Street Fighter video games and anime, Shu from Dragonball, Action Bastard from Shin Chan, Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, almost every Batman since the Animated Series, Cable in the Japanese dub of Saban's X-Men and George Costanza in the Japanese dub of Seinfeld. He's also the official Japanese dub-voice for Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Hulk Hogan, Steven Seagal and, uh, Dan Aykroyd.

  • Because of his healthy background in ballet, one of his popular nicknames is "Pirouette Genda". *snicker*
  • For the online preview to "TransWarped, Part 1", Genda carries on a conversation with Hiroki Takahashi, allowing the original and then-newest Optimus Primes to have a conversation, if only for a voice-over.
  • He is been best known as the Japanese voice of Batman, making him the first actor who both voices Optimus Prime And Bats together. How awesome is that?
