"The Motor Master" was sent, along with the other Stunticons and Toxitron, on a mission to break Megatron and other Decepticons out of Trypticon Prison. In the guise of entertainers, they planned to rig the former Decepticon Gladiatorial Arena in Kaon with explosives, blasting the prison walls open and killing the audience in the process.

All was going well until the Stunticons were abruptly assaulted in mid-rehearsal by Cheetor, who opened fire on the disguised Decepticons. Once the Autobot cop settled down, the rehearsal continued. The Motor Master helped to corner the "helpless" Drag Strip, before being chased off by the bumbling Toxitron.

On the night of the plan's execution, Sideswipe and Cheetor returned in the middle of the show, having worked out the Stunticons' plan. The Stunticons fought back with their stolen modifications, with Wildrider and The Motor Master roughing up Sideswipe. The two cop-bots were cornered, but Toxitron leapt into the fray, knocking out the structural supports for a giant ramp and sending it crashing down on the Stunticons. Toxitron turned out to actually be a disguised Optimus Prime, who revealed their plan to everyone watching. before being apprehended, The Motor Master made one final attempt, taking Sideswipe hostage, threatening to scrap him (On his last day before retirement! What are the odds?) and blow up the arena unless Megatron and the other prisoners were released. The Motor Master was caught off guard when Sideswipe activated Optimus Prime's axe and careened backwards. The Motor Master was incarcerated in Trypticon Prison, alongside the very Decepticons he and his teammates had sought to free. The Stunti-Con Job

Timelines

Bonesaw is ready!
  • The Stunti-Con-Job (BotCon 2011 box set)
    • Accessories: axe/backpack, water cannon
The Motor Master is a retool of Voyager Class Optimus Prime, who transforms into a futuristic Earth-mode fire truck (well, the front half of one, at least). His rear portion includes a giant extinguisher cannon, which can become a hand weapon and really squirts water. His chunk of trailer-facade also transforms into a giant double-bladed axe. These weapons can store on his back, giving the appearance of wings and a jet pack. The Motor Master also has an Automorph feature: Pressing a button on his butt flips down and rotates his lower body into the proper position for robot mode.
The Motor Master joins the other four Stunticons, Dead End, Breakdown, Drag Strip, and Wildrider in BotCon 2011's box set.
This mold (using the original head) was also used to make Toxitron and Nemesis Prime.

Notes

SPOILERS
  • The Motor Master was the final toy to be revealed for the BotCon 2011 box set, on Thursday, February 24, 2011.
  • In the early stages of Transformers Animated, redeco possibilities were brainstormed using the existing character models. Concepts for Motormaster and Ultra Magnus, using an early character model for Optimus Prime, were published in Transformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac. These colors seem to have served as inspiration for the later BotCon toy.
  • When Fun Publications got their samples in from the factory, it had a damaging mark to discourage aftermarket sale due to theft. Fun Publications had to use Photoshop to recreate the face for everyone else to see.<ref>[1]</ref>
  • According to Derrick Wyatt, the Motor Master sounds like "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and his appearance is based on a "wrestler bad guy" archetype.
  • The Motor Master appears with Optimus Prime, Sari Sumdac, and Shattered Glass Sari in a special illustration in Transformers Generations 2011 vol. 1.
  • "The Motor Master" is parsed with a space in all his fictional appearances, but without the space on the box set art itself and on the Motor Master's Tech Spec card.
