The Combaticons murder a puppy.
Synopsis
Out in the desert, the Combaticons are chasing after a runaway puppy. Brawl successfully manages to gun it down, but before the Decepticons can reacquire their escaped prey, Powerglide swoops in to stop them.
At Decepticon Headquarters, Megatron explains to Starscream the importance of the puppy. Apparently, they used the animal for all sorts of horrible experimentation, eventually creating within it enough Decepticon super science to power all of Tokyo. Then the dog escaped. Somehow. The power within the dog is fading rapidly, however, leaving the Decepticons with little time to squeeze it out of the poor, poor puppy.

Back in the desert, Powerglide uses himself to shield the puppy from further gunfire. As Onslaught closes in, Powerglide transforms to plane mode and helps the puppy into his cockpit. The dog activates Powerglide's controls and the pair take off just as Kenji and a unit of Minibots arrive.
Inside Powerglide's cockpit, the dog interfaces with his computer and speaks with him. The dog explains how the Decepticons wanted to use his power to fuel their war machines. The dog then begins to transfer his super science power into Powerglide. Powerglide protests, saying that it will kill the dog. The dog says he understands the consequences and thanks Powerglide for all he's done.
With the super science now coursing through him, Powerglide announces that he's been briefly energized with Scramble Power and asks all the other Minibots to combine with him. As they do this, the Combaticons combine into Bruticus. The Minibot combiner then performs the (sigh) "Minibot Warrior Spiral Attack" and defeats Bruticus, who quickly retreats.
Clutching the corpse of the dead dog in his arms, Powerglide vows into the sunset that he'll protect all life from the Decepticons no matter what.

Notes
- This issue takes place before the "Scramble City: Mobilization".
- How did the dog escape from Decepticon Headquarters, anyway? It's underwater. The art implies that the power within the dog incapacitated a number of Decepticon guards as he broke free, but what, did it protect him from drowning and the crushing pressure from the ocean depths, too? Did it allow him to swim god knows how far to make it to land? That Decepticon Super Science is some crazy stuff, man.
- This is both the bleakest and the funniest Transformers story EVER.
- Decepticons hate puppies.
