Boltflash

- Boltflash is a Decepticon-allied Mini-Con from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family (via the 2008 Universe line).
Boltflash is a member of the Overcast Team. The only thing less impressive than Boltflash's IQ are his skills as a warrior. Add in the fact that he's also rather a coward and it's no surprise he hasn't risen very far in the ranks. His physical and weapon-based combat potential aren't really half-bad but... then again, in the hands of an awkward, cowardly dim-wit maybe they are at that. [1]

- Mini-Con 12-Pack (Multi-pack, 2008)
- Boltflash is a redeco of Classics Thunderwing, transforming into an F-14 Tomcat swing-wing fighter jet.
- He was originally only available as part of a Kmart-exclusive Mini-Con 12-pack with Backstop, Blight, Bodyblock, Brimstone, Cloudraker, Flatfoot, Heavytread, Knockdown, Makeshift, Skyhammer, and Suppressor.
- This mold was also used to make Cybertron Nightscream, Noise Effect, Henkei! Henkei! Slingshot and Barrel Roll.
- Boltflash (Mini-Con, 2009)
- Boltflash was also sold on an individual cardback and sold through discount store chains like Big Lots! in the US. This version is identical to the multi-pack version.
- Boltflash (Mini-Con, 2010)
- In the UK, all twelve Mini-Cons from the original "Mini-Con Class 12 Pack" set were released in individual blind-packed bags with "energon fizzy sweets" candies, distributed by The Little Factory Ltd. This version of Boltflash is actually a new tooling with numerous tiny differences from the original (and generally less crisp molding), but is functionally the same toy.
Notes
- Boltflash's name was inspired by both lightning imagery and the flash of a breech loading rifle.[2]
- He looks a lot like a certain Gobot Guardian Leader (One).
