Alpha Trion (disambiguation)
From MediaWiki
Distinct versions of the character Alpha Trion have been used in many continuity families.
- 1985 — Alpha Trion the original Autobot sage from various Generation 1 continuities. He is also known as A3.
- 2001 — Alpha Trion the presumably nigh-identical sage mentioned in Robots in Disguise.
- 2004 — Alpha Trion the definitely nigh-identical sage from the Unicron Trilogy. He is also known as Sig-Omega.
- 2006 — Alpha Trion the evil (yet still pretty damn visually identical) "sage" from the "Shattered Glass" universe. He is also known as The Old One.
- 2009 — Alpha Trion the nigh-identical head of the civilian guilds from Animated.
- 2010 — Alpha Trion, the historian from Revenge of the Fallen.
- 2010 — Alpha Trion, the member of the Thirteen original Transformers, wielder of the Quill and, perhaps, true identity of all the others above. (See note below.)
In 2010 Hasbro introduced a retcon making Alpha Trion a member of the Thirteen original Transformers, and it seemed at the time, a likely multiversal singularity (meaning, basically, that all Alpha Trions in the multiverse would be the same individual). Due to the lengthy histories many of these incarnations had prior to the retcon we opted to leave their pages as separate entities, and merely note the retcon here and on their pages. It has since been clarified that only in the Transformers: Prime universe, which is not part of the earlier Multiverse, is Alpha Trion definitely one of the 13, so whether he is a member of the 13 and a Singularity in the other universes is left even more up in the air than previously.
Alpha Trion should not be confused with:
- Alpha Prime the Autobot Matrix-bearer from Generation 1.
- Other uses of the word Trion.
