The Gyronian Sentries were Autobots and Decepticons from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Gyronian Sentries lived in the early days of Cybertron. They're often victims of Robo-Smashing.

While out walking one day, a hapless soul was seized by Megatron's Robo-Smasher. Though he struggled, in mere moments it had altered his programming to serve the Decepticon cause. The machine released its victim, work complete, and the newly-programmed Decepticon affirmed his allegiance to Megatron. Megatron was pleased, and went on to use the device on the Constructicons. Wings of Honor

In the early days of the war, a Gyronian Sentry was a member of constabulary in an area near Deathsaurus's base. He took the Combaticons into custody after the Elite Guard had captured them. Battle Lines, Part 4
