War Within (comic)

The War Within comic series is part of Dreamwave's Generation 1 continuity, consisting of two and half miniseries (the last was cut short by Dreamwave's bankruptcy) set in the distant past of Cybertron. It features dozens of familiar Generation 1 characters in pre-Earth bodies. The visual style was set by artist Don Figueroa, who pencilled the first miniseries and designed many of the characters.
