Transformers: The Origin

When the universe had only just entered existence, it was inhabited by godlike energy creatures that fought each other for domination of the stars. The energy creatures were divided over two factions: the Dark Gods led by Unicron and the Light Gods led by Primus. During one battle, Primus sought to protect the other forms of life that were gaining a place in the universe. By going back and forth between the physical and astral plane, he managed to trap both his opponent and himself inside lumps of space junk. However, Unicron reshaped his prison into a transforming body. Primus, anticipating this move, in turn reshaped as a planet and began creating a population of small robots designed after Unicron's new form. He hoped that they, armed with the Creation Matrix, would one day defeat Unicron for good.

Notes

• The questions in the Q & A section were the five most frequently sent in to Dread Tidings. The answers given can be found in the relevant character articles, except the one on question #2. The answer to that one was that Prime probably was stronger, but that Galvatron had less inhibitions which may give him the edge in battle.
