As part of a Decepticon plot to destroy the Earth, a Death Tower emerged in Canberra. The Protectobots, who were already called into action against the Decepticons, arrived at the Death Tower, only to be forced into battle with Bruticus. Eventually, the Death Tower activated, and the Decepticon Clones arrived and told Bruticus to pull out. Defensor attempted to follow, but was struck down from the sky by the Death Tower.
