Orbital bounce is a type of teleportation that appears in IDW's Infiltration comic series.

Megatron arrives at Starscream's base by orbital bounce. (Infiltration #6)

When used, a shaft of light descends from the sky, in which the teleporting object materializes, starting at the top and working down towards the ground. After materialization, the shaft of light seems to "retract" back into the sky instead of shutting off.

Presumably, the beam is emitted from or reflected off of some sort of orbital station or satellite. The technique may require a specialized satellite, but it may also be possible to "bounce" the teleportation beam against any orbiting body of the proper size and/or materials.

During Megatron's orbital bounce, Bumblebee detects "a buildup of charged anti-protons"; in context, this seems a standrd indication of this technology being used.

It is undetermined whether the same technology can perform a shorter-range teleportation without the use of an orbiting body.
