The Topeka was on patrol in the Atlantic Ocean when her crew detected four large objects rapidly descending towards the bottom of the Laurentian Abyss, where the remains of Megatron lay. Soon afterwards, they detected six objects headed straight for them and tried to engage emergency maneuvers, but the Topeka was destroyed when the resurrected Megatron collided with and ruptured her hull. • At least one shot was recycled footage from Crimson Tide, specifically the stern view of the sub trailing a Towed Sonar Array; the distinctive hump over the top of the sub is the Missile compartment of an Ohio class Ballistic Missile submarine.
