Axel

Axel is an Decepticon from the live-action film series (via the Speed Stars line).

Axel is some guy. He's somewhat reminiscent of Axor.

A redeco of Speed Stars Lockdown, Axel is a small, non-transforming, die-cast car resembling a spiky amalgam of a 1980s Corvette and a 1960s Cougar. His robot mode is sculpted underneath the vehicle, and his wheels use through-axle construction that lets the toy zip around at high speeds on smooth surfaces.

End of the road. This Robot Powered Machines/Speed Stars item has been canceled, with no current plans for release.

Notes

• When Axel was first revealed during a toy showcase at BotCon 2010, his name was in fact given as Axor. The Speed Stars website later named him Axel, but the reason for this change is unknown.
• The BotCon 2010 showcase also claimed that Axel's wave would be released in late 2010, but so far he doesn't appear to have been spotted for sale anywhere.
