The Guiding Hand is a mysterious "THEM" in the IDW comics portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Who exactly the Guiding Hand are is a mystery. They are ancient and important enough to be mentioned on an ancient inscription inside the Matrix. Optimus Prime once knew more about them, but upon emptying the Matrix that knowledge faded, leaving only the feeling that they were some sort of group connected to hidden truths about Cybertron's past.
