Talk:Devcon (DOTM)
If members of a Transformers forum and I were to come up with a fan-made name, would that be able to become the name of this page until a real one is released (if one is) Of course, It would be listed in the notes that it is a fan-made name—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wing Saber (talk • contribs).
- No. —Interrobang 17:46, 4 October 2011 (EDT)
- Yes, but only if it's as blatantly fake and usefully descriptive as Christmas Maximus. Geewunling 03:04, 5 October 2011 (EDT)
- Dammit, we're not calling this guy Cloverjolt. Just give it up.--Carrion 10:58, 5 October 2011 (EDT)
- Not necessarily Cloverjolt (though I personally find that name quite awesome due to the fact that this guy is in many ways the Jolt of DOTM, and I actually think it sounds like it could be accepted as his official name), but perhaps "Cloverfield Decepticon" (Unless "Clovercon" catches on very fast) at this point. "Long-legged Decepticon" really just sounds awful and unimaginative to me, to the point of actually taking something away from the article. That's probably just me, though. - ¡Usa El Queso! - As the main "Nameless" page states, "Nicknames that could be confused with real names are not appropriate.". Cloverbot, Clovercon, Cloverjolt, etc. are all pretty valid sounding and could easily confuse someone. Tom Servo the Great 21:10, 18 October 2011 (EDT)
- When the movie's released with extras, it's possible we may find he has a behind-the-scenes name anyway. --abates 21:26, 18 October 2011 (EDT)

Having now seen Cloverfield, I suggest that if we do not get an official designation, we call him "Terrible Thing", "Terrible Decepticon," or something else along those lines. - ¡Usa El Queso! Complain here 02:37, 1 November 2011 (EDT)
Concept art
Blu-ray release of DOTM had this piece of concept art concerning cloverbot. I made some edits, shoulda posted here first. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7159/6781963639_06aafaf90b_o.jpg designed by aaron mcbride, referred to in concept art as "DevCon." Devcon? - Nice find! I don't know if it's enough to make him "Devcon (DOTM)", since some of the other DOTM concept art uses names that are obviously wrong. --abates 14:38, 29 January 2012 (EST)
