The name or term "Ricochet" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Ricochet (disambiguation).

Ricochet is an Autobot from the Headmasters portion of Generation 1.

Yeah. Ricochet doesn't get much artwork.

Ricochet's function is Rapid-Fire Attack, and he's well suited to it. He is the most accurate marksman the Autobots have and a Targetmaster as well. Unfortunately he's also quick-tempered and very easily provoked. This leeds to him having a hard time maintaining friendly relations or even conversations with his teammates. In his favor Ricochet has an uncommonly strong sense of justice, though when combined with his other traits that too can leed to trouble.

His Targetmaster partner is Nightstick. It is unknown if this is indeed the Nebulan of the same name who also partnered with Cyclonus (G1).

Japanese names: Stepper with Nebulan

Fiction

Headmasters Manga

Appeared in Part 7.

Dreamwave Generation 1 comic

He appeared in about two frames in issue 3. As one of Shockwaves clones. I guess that sort of makes him Jazz's brother. Like Sideswipe/Sunstreaker. Maybe.

Toys

Generation 1

  • Stepper (Autobot, 1987)
Japanese ID number: C-109 TFC-15

The original Japanese box.

Being a Targetmaster, he came with a smaller Targetmaster partner, Nebulan. (Though this was the name of the *-master partners race/planet in the US, in Japan they were tiny robots from planet Master, and so the name "Nebulan" was used for only this individual) He also came with a black missile launcher, three gold missiles and a golden gun. There are no real differences between the two versions.

This toy was released through Toys-R-Us in the US in Commemorative series IX as "Ricochet with Nightstick"

Alternators

  • Ricochet (Alternator, 2006)

Since he's an Alternator, not a Binaltech figure, he doesn't get a bio. Or new artwork. Or an ID number. And he's another god damn Subaru Impreza.

He looks sort of fat as an Alternator.
