- The Commandos are a Decepticon subgroup from the Robots in Disguise continuity family.
The Commandos are an elite group of Decepticon warriors. Formerly Autobot protoforms corrupted by the dark energies of Megatron's spark, they now fight for evil. The five members can also combine to form the behemoth Ruination.

- Baldigus (Multi-pack, 2000)

- Baldigus/Ruination is a redeco and slight retooling of the Combaticon molds from Generation 1. The five components that form the giant robot—Mega-Octane, Rollbar, Armorhide, Movor and Ro-Tor—were available both as individual releases, or in a five-robot multi-pack. However, the multi-pack version came only with the bio card for the combined form, available nowhere else, and had none of the individual cards.
- For the normal Hasbro Robots in Disguise line, Ruination could only be assembled by buying the individual robots, most of which have deco differences from the Takara versions. Most strikingly, Takara's Baldigus (pictured) has golden combiner kibble while Hasbro's Ruination has them colored gray.
- The main retooling to Ruination involved him now being able to assemble two super-weapons using the smaller weapons from Mega-Octane and the other members of the team. He also has a back now owing to be able to store his ramp on his backpack. It's spiffy. Though not actually a retool, this mold also has Armorhide facing the opposite direction in combined mode.
- This mold was also used to make Battle Gaia.

- A Wal-Mart exclusive set of five robots, the Ruination molds were further redecoed into an "urban camouflage" scheme, primarily shades of gray and stony-blue.
Universe

- The Urban Camo version of the Ruination molds were further redecoed in desert camouflage colors, again sold only as a Wal-Mart exclusive gift-set. This set's combiner kibble is in generally the same colors as the original Takara version of the team.
Notes
- The Commandos are represented by the Decepticon symbol, whereas in the original Japanese series, the Combatrons used a different one that was based upon that of the Generation 2 Autobots. This is because the original Black Convoy toy was a retool of Generation 2 Laser Optimus Prime, which included the symbol moulded onto some of its accessories.
- The Commandos' character models are heavily based on their toys, much more so than the Generation 1 Combaticons.
