The mech-venom sting is a corruption of the energon sting Scorponok possessed before becoming Dark Scorponok. Along with his claws, mech-venom is Dark Scorponok's primary weapon.

Dark Scorponok almost killed Sentinel Maximus after injecting him with mech-venom during their fight at Kalis Primary Energon Reserves Control.
