Groove was part of the crew of the Ark. He was raiding a skyscraper building site with Elita-One when the pair were attacked by Sephie Beller. Beller, who'd upgraded herself with Cybertronian technology, proved more of a threat than the local police and quickly overwhelmed Groove. She used her enhancements to duplicate Groove's power chip rectifier. She promptly put it to good use on Elita-One and later used it to defeat R.J. Blackrock's Centurion mech. Transhuman

Groove was repurposed from Ransack.

Ransack transforms into a Velocitron style motorcycle. By inserting a Cyber Planet Key into the cycle mode's back end, a pair of non-firing guns flip out to form thrusters. This assembly becomes his blaster-weapon in robot mode. He comes with a Velocitron-style Cyber Planet Key with the Key code s2w5 on the back. The GTS "stealth" redeco was released exclusively by Hasbro for the "Primus Unleashed" portion of Cybertron.
