Takeshi Aono

Takeshi Aono (青野 武 Aono Takeshi, June 19, 1936-April 9, 2012) was a veteran seiyū who was born in Asahikawa, Hokkaido; he was affiliated with Aoni Production.

He wass perhaps best known for the roles of Shirō Sanada from Space Battleship Yamato, Kami from Dragonball and Dragonball Z, Rihaku from Fist of the North Star, Dakuan from Ninja Scroll, Dr. Wily in several Mega Man games for the Playstation and The Joker in the Japanese Dubs of Batman: The Animated Series, and The New Batman Adventures.

Takeshi Aono passed away at age 75 of an aortic aneurysm.
