The Decepticons start kidnapping humans for use as slave labor.
Synopsis
The Autobots rest after a hard day repairing the Ark and watch television. One news item details a small town somewhere from which almost the entire able-bodied population has disappeared. The few remaining elderly inhabitants report how giant jet robots had kidnapped everyone, despite the best efforts of policeman Captain Osgood. The Autobots jump to the obvious conclusion, and try to work out what the Decepticons want with all those humans. Optimus decides against an assault on the Decepticon fortress and instead sends Bumblebee to find out what the Decepticons are up to.
Bumblebee reaches the Decepticon base, but sees nothing unusual and realizes he will have to get inside to find out what's going on. As Skywarp goes out on patrol, the Decepticon leaves the door to the base slightly ajar, allowing Bumblebee to sneak in and hide behind a computer bank. He soon spots the missing humans being used as slave labor by the Decepticons. As he decides he has to escape and report back, Bumblebee notices that the computer he's hiding behind is responsible for controlling the Decepticons' molecular motion, allowing them to adapt to Earth conditions, and is vital for their survival. He carefully steals the global crystal from the computer. At that moment, Skywarp returns, opening the door wide to complain to Megatron about being put on guard duty, and Bumblebee takes the opportunity to speed past the Decepticon and manages to get through. The Decepticons give chase, but Bumblebee escapes by hiding at the bottom of a lake.
Back at the Autobot base, Bumblebee reports, and the Autobots wonder what they can do to help the humans. The scout reveals he's stolen the Decepticon's global crystal, and now with leverage, Optimus contacts the Decepticons to demand the release of the humans. After the Decepticons have finished laughing, Megatron mocks Optimus for a while, until Optimus suggests they check on their global crystal. Now he has the Decepticons' attention, Optimus again demands they release the humans, or the crystal will be destroyed, spelling the end of the Decepticons.
Soon, news reports come in that the missing humans have reappeared, with their memories wiped of the events thanks to the Decepticons' ultra-sonic techniques, and the Autobots return the global crystal to Megatron.
