Weather machine

The weather machine is an invention from the Aligned continuity family.

Predating Doc Greene's arrival on Griffin Rock, the weather machine is kept in the room with the other "Best Left Forgotten" stuff like the perpetual motion lamp and the invisible telephone. This powerful device can control the very elements, creating unseasonal weather patterns. It utilizes a sub-ethereal particle beam to create this effect.

During a particularly extreme heatwave, Cody Burns had the idea to ask Doc Greene for help. Greene happened to have the weather machine stored away, and at Cody and Frankie's urging, brought it out so they could use it to create snow. The machine was taken to the town square, though Cody got the Doc to test it in an alleyway before they got there, and used to create a snow flurry in a fenced off area.

Unfortunately a large snowball thrown by Boulder caused a tree branch to fall on the weather machine, breaking its lever and sending it into overdrive. Soon there was snow and wintery conditions all over Griffin Rock. Unable to stop the machine, Doc Greene enlisted the help of Boulder and Graham Burns in getting the machine back to his laboratory where he affected repairs and was able to shut it down safely.
