Pharma paid the two Genericons to get captured and claim to be Monoformers and once locked up together, they would transform into their audio equipment alternate forms and create a sound that would corrode those who heard it. Pharma covered this up as them being Decepticon prisoners and informed everyone they broke out during the Red Rust virus outbreak (which Pharma had caused). The two Genericons then cornered some Autobots including Pharma for revenge for being in Autobot custody for so long. These Autobots were saved by the sudden arrival of Fortress Maximus!.
