Toxic Energon, also known as Tox-En, is a harmful version of Energon that was formerly stored in the Vaults of Iacon.

Toxic Energon was unearthed by Bulkhead near a volcano at the Earth's equator. Deeming it too dangerous to leave intact, he sought to destroy it in the fiery depths of the volcano. Debilitated by the Toxic Energon's hazardous effect on his body and mind, Bulkhead gradually made his way up the volcano, followed every step of the way by Hardshell and a group of Insecticons. During a confrontation atop the solidified lava inside the volcano's crater, Bulkhead threw the Toxic Energon to Hardshell, who was immediately disoriented by the tainted Energon's, falling into the volcano and dropping the Toxic Energon into the lava, destroying it.Toxicity
