Archivist Optronix was called to the Chamber of the Ancients and told that he had been selected by the Matrix to be the next Prime. Though he disagreed with the decision, after consulting the Oracle Tank, the archivist accepted the position, undergoing the inauguration ceremony in the Chamber, becoming Optimus Prime. He was immediately attacked by a Decepticon assassination squad, and handed them their skidplates. Grimlock approved. The War Within #1 The Chamber of Ancients was destroyed, along with the rest of Iacon, when Starscream activated the mechaforming process and obliterated the city-state. The War Within #6
