During the Great War, the Decepticons used Cosmic Rust as main weapon against the Autobots stationed on the Hydrax Plateau, carelessly taking a few of their own soldiers down as well. Ratchet was sent there to look for survivors, which he found in the Decepticon Oil Slick. As a dutiful medic, Ratchet helped him regardless of allegiance, only to find out the Cosmic Rust was Oil Slick's personal work and be infected himself. Down but not out, Ratchet managed to retrieve the antidote they just made and took it back with him to be analyzed at the Ministry of Science. 'Bots of Science
Exodus
The Hydrax spaceport was one of the glorious projects of the Golden Age of Cybertron. Bordering the Decepticon-occupied Badlands, it was of key importance, and the siege on it was the second engagement in the war. Decepticons marching from the newly conquered Fort Scyk to the east were held back by Ultra Magnus and the Wreckers, while Optimus Prime held off the southern advance in his first battle. But Hydrax was surrounded, with the Sea of Rust limiting Autobot support, and ultimately, the Decepticons won. Transformers: Exodus
