While covering the civil war and resultant NATO peacekeeping missing in Carbombia, Connie and her cameraman witnessed an attack by the Carbombian Protectionist League on a Belgian checkpoint in which the Faghadi loyalists utilized laser weapons. During this attack, laser fire struck a gas main. Her fate subsequent to this is unknown.
The video footage of this attack was confiscated by NATO, and thus kept from being broadcast.

Connie's cameraman, Craig was hit in the leg by shrapnel during the attack. As a result, he did some harsh cursing.
