Trans-time dimensional portal

The trans-time dimensional portal is a technology from the Marvel Comics portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The trans-time dimensional portal allows instant transport across light-years of space, and even time itself. It operates with a minimum of physical equipment, making it much less cumbersome than the space bridge, its predecessor. It also inflicts much less system disruption on its travelers.

When used for time travel, it is subject to the same mass displacement requirements as other kinds of time-jump mechanisms.

In 2009 the Autobots discovered that a rift in the structure of space-time had destroyed Quintesson and would soon destroy both Cybertron and Earth as well. The rift originated in 1989 so Rodimus Prime led a team through the trans-time dimensional portal in an attempt to reverse the effects. Soundwave and the Terrorcons arrived shortly after and followed them through the portal. Both groups returned to 2009 using a remote control device. Time Wars

In 1989 the Off Road and Race Car Patrols traveled from Cybertron to Earth using "trans-dimensional warp." The technology was new and untested, but they all made it through just fine. King Con!

As part of Megatron's plans for revenge on both the Autobots and Decepticons he used a trans-time dimensional portal to send the Sports Car Patrol to the Ark to kidnap Ratchet and blow up the Autobot ship. The bright light caused by the portal almost ruined the plan to disguise the Micromasters as Autobots. They did however convice Ratchet of their good intentions and persuaded him to transport back to Cybertron with them. Back from the Dead Unfortunately for Megatron the portals targetting was not very specific and also transported Goldbug, Grimlock and Jazz. While Megatron had Ratchet work on re-animating Starscream as a puppet to use in his plot, the medic was able to foil his plans by using the trans-time dimensional portal to transport the bombs back from the Ark to Megatron's base, allowing Starscream's cowardly personality to emerge and also re-animating his fellow Autobots. Skin Deep When Bumblebee, Grimlock and Jazz tried to return to Earth with the Rescue Patrol their transport was interrupted by an attack by the Mayhem Attack Squad. Bludgeon accelerated the dimensional interface which resulted in them all being transported to the centre of Cybertron rather than Earth.Yesterday's Heroes!
