Fiction
Dark of the Moon film
Devcon is an incidental character in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. While many of the Decepticons in the final battle arrive from the moon, it could be inferred from Devcon's alternate mode (a Russian missile launcher) that he may previously have been an active unit stationed in Russia, possibly under Shockwave's command. Heeding the call of Megatron, he joined the Decepticon beachhead in Washington, D.C.. During the invasion of Chicago, Devcon participated in the initial strike and contributed to the mayhem. During the Autobots' attack on this Decepticon stronghold, he was one of the many Decepticons who fired upon the retreating Autobots. When the tide began to turn in the Autobots' favor, however, the behemoth met his end as he tried to hold a bridge. The Wreckers piled onto Devcon, shooting him in the head multiple times until he fell to the ground dead. Dark of the Moon
Notes

- Devcon bears more than a passing resemblance to the monster in the film Cloverfield, with elongated, double-jointed forelegs, short back legs, and a pair of under-slung appendages. The first teasers for Cloverfield were screened during the release of the first Transformers film. Leo Spitz also possessed a Cloverfield poster in the second film.
- Devcon's name originates in concept art, where he is shown to transform into a "Russian missile launcher."[1]
