Colan is a human from the Revenge of the Fallen portion of the live-action movie continuity.
"And how big do you want this robot?" "Lifesize." "Mmmm, no. Better make it two-thirds. Easier to stop if it turns on us."

Professor Colan is a professor of astronomy at Princeton University. His classes are always popular, particularly with the ladies. Perhaps it's his roguish good looks, perhaps his enthusiasm for his subject matter, or perhaps it's that he pays as much attention to the heavenly bodies inside his classroom as outside. Just don't try to upstage him, or you're in for a whole galaxy of pain.

Professor Colan was delivering the dazzling presentation of his first day of class, a feat which quite rightly titillated the ladies in the front row. Suspecting that he was being "punk'd" in front of one of the university's deans, Professor Colan quite rightly drummed the rapscallion out of his class.

Several days later, after the Sun was nearly snuffed out by evil robots, the ever magnanimous professor welcomed Sam Witwicky back (but not without some sarcasm). Revenge of the Fallen

Notes

  • As revealed on the film's audio commentary, the character was based on a real professor Bay knew at university. Somehow, this explains volumes about the Michael Bay we know today.
