Autobot Outpost Omega One

Autobot Outpost Omega One is the Autobots' hidden base on Earth, located inside a mountain in Nevada. It serves as Autobot Central Command. It used to be a Cold War missile silo before it was converted: as a result, it's shielded against radio signals and is operated using old human machinery. Trying to run Cybertronian programs on human machinery is a recipe for bugs out the exhaust, much to Ratchet's irritation!

When Arcee alerted Optimus Prime to the fact that Cliffjumper had run into trouble, he had the Autobots rendezvous back at base so they could use the GroundBridge to reach Cliffjumper's last known coordinates. Unfortunately, they were too late. After Arcee had an encounter with some Decepticon troops, Optimus ordered her to bring Jack Darby and Raf Esquivel, who had been exposed to the Transformer presence, in to base. She and Bumblebee brought three kids in, as they'd accidentally been seen by Miko Nakadai as well. Darkness Rising, Part 1
Optimus explained the situation to the kids, but was interrupted by the arrival of their human liaison, Agent Fowler. After the agent left, Ratchet's equipment picked up Cliffjumper's life signature, and the other Autobots left him at base with the three kids. Raf proved handy in helping Ratchet work out some of the bugs with the base's computer systems, and the kids left for home once the other Autobots returned from their mission.
A sample of Dark Energon inadvertently brought into the base by Arcee infected a piece of equipment Darkness Rising, Part 2, which attacked Ratchet. As a result, Optimus discerned Megatron's plan and took Ratchet on a mission, leaving Arcee in command of the base. Arcee promptly went out on patrol with Bumblebee, leaving Bulkhead in charge of both the base and kids. Following another visit by Fowler, the government agent was kidnapped, forcing Bulkhead to leave the kids in charge while he went to make a rescue. Unfortunately, the three kids followed him, leaving no one at the base when Arcee needed to use the GroundBridge to get back. Darkness Rising, Part 3

The Autobots managed to rescue Fowler and return him to base, where he was installed on a medical stretcher. Ratchet used the base computers to analyse the intel Miko had brought back, revealing the extent of Megatron's plan to send Dark Energon to Cybertron. Darkness Rising, Part 4 While the other Autobots went to stop the plan from being carried out by attacking Megatron's space bridge, Ratchet and the kids monitored their progress from base. They were subsequently able to use the GroundBridge to get the kids to the radio dish array the Decepticons were using to set the space bridge target, but they were prevented from completely shutting down the Decepticon operation by Soundwave. Raf returned to base with space bridge schematics, which Ratchet was able to download into the base computer system and use to instruct the Autobot team in a bit of sabotage. Once the space bridge was destroyed, the Autobots bridged back to base. Darkness Rising, Part 5
The kids decided to work on their science projects at the base, which caused a bit of a mess. This led to Ratchet trying to "help" them, which pretty much consisted of him taking over the projects and building them his way. Masters & Students Bulkhead and Bumblebee brought a mysterious pod back to the base from the Arctic. Unfortunately, the pod turned out to contain Scraplets, which escaped and started chewing through the base's systems when the pod thawed. The Autobots and their three human friends were eventually able to repair the GroundBridge and expel the annoying creatures into the Arctic. Scrapheap

In an attempt to learn the location of the base, Starscream had Makeshift masquerade as Wheeljack and infiltrate the Autobot ranks. The Scraplet attack had left the GroundBridge in an unstable state, and, unable to use it to bring in the other Decepticons right away, Makeshift was forced to continue his ruse. He was uncovered before the GroundBridge could be made operational, and the real Wheeljack turned up to set things straight. Makeshift subsequently failed to report the location of the Autobot base to Starscream and was blown up by a bomb the Autobots had planted on him. Con Job
Fowler contacted the base when his plane crashed and he needed help moving the Dynamic Nuclear Generation System. Ratchet and the kids monitored the operation from base, and provided support when it came under attack from MECH. When Raf used the computer systems to alter the path of the train carrying the device, the MECH guys sent a virus through the base's computer system, stopping them from using the GroundBridge to rescue Jack and Miko on the train. Convoy Ratchet used the base's equipment to construct a duplicate Energon Harvester when the Decepticons stole the original from a museum. Deus ex Machina
After Jack got involved in street racing, Miko and Raf hung out at base and completely failed to cover for him. Speed Metal When Optimus was infected with cybonic plague, he was rushed back to base for medical care. Ratchet monitored his condition there while the other Autobots went out to find a cure. They succeeded however Megatron's mind ended up in Bumblebee's head. Sick Mind During a basketball game in the main area between Bulkhead and Bumblebee, Bumblebee started having visions, eventually leading to Ratchet putting the scout in power-down. Megatron was able to take advantage of Bumblebee's downtime to use the base's GroundBridge to retrieve some Dark Energon and return to the Nemesis to reclaim his own body. Out of His Head
When the kids disappeared during a GroundBridge incident, Ratchet tried to locate them with the base's sensors. It wasn't until the kids rang Miko's phone, which had accidentally been left at the base, that it turned out the kids were in a shadow dimension. Ratchet worked out how to reconfigure the GroundBridge so the kids could escape back to reality. Shadowzone Breakdown was kidnapped by MECH, leading the Autobots to go try to rescue their enemy. Bulkhead, as he had a personal stake in it, was left at base until Miko talked him into going on a one-Bot rescue mission. Operation: Breakdown
Jack brought his mom to the base after she found out about the existence of giant transforming robots. Crisscross She started visiting regularly, much to the annoyance of the kids, who felt oppressed. Also Arcee and Bulkhead brought a polarity gauntlet back to the base. Metal Attraction The base's sensors picked up an ancient Decepticon signal which turned out to be the long-crashed Harbinger. The ship contained the Immobilizer, and when Bumblebee returned with Optimus and Bulkhead frozen by it, Ratchet rebuilt the weapon using the base's technology so they could unfreeze their friends. After the contents of a Cybertronian data cylinder were downloaded into Bulkhead's brain, he started scrawling parts of a Synthetic Energon formula on pieces of the base. While the other Autobots tried to reclaim the cylinder from Megatron, Miko lured Bulkhead out of the base in an attempt to get him to remember who he was. T.M.I. Ratchet managed to fill in the gaps and produce Synthetic Energon, but made the mistake of testing it on himself. This led to antics including Ratchet throwing Bulkhead through one of the base's walls. Stronger, Faster
Jack, Miko and Raf spent some time at the base surfing conspiracy websites so they could cover up the Autobots' activities. Fowler contacted the base to inform the Autobots that the 'Cons were stealing components for a new space bridge. When Raf was infected with Dark Energon, Ratchet tried to use the base's equipment to treat the boy, even calling in June Darby to help. Finally they managed to purge the Dark Energon from Raf using an infusion of energon. The base's sensors soon picked up that Optimus was in an area with a high concentration of Dark Energon One Shall Fall The other Autobots retrieved Optimus, however the Dark Energon began causing worldwide disasters. Fowler arrived at the base, and they monitored the disasters bother via television and the base's sensors. The Autobots eventually concluded the truth—Unicron was at the Earth's core, and began to scout the sites of the disasters for more information. One Shall Rise, Part 1
After a battle with giant stone Unicrons, the Autobots took the unusual step of inviting Megatron back to the base so he could assist them in ending Unicron's threat. After a brief visit by the Decepticon leader, he and the Autobots bar Ratchet GroundBridged into the Earth's core. One Shall Rise, Part 2 The base was rattled by an earthquake as Optimus defeated Unicron. Arcee, Bulkhead and Bumblebee GroundBridged back without their leader, as he'd developed amnesia and joined Megatron. One Shall Rise, Part 3

Ratchet constructed the Safe, a training room on one of the lower levels of the base. In the process of testing it, the Autobots uncovered a live nuclear bomb. The warhead, which should have been taken away when the base was originally stripped, almost led to the discovery of the base by Vehicons. Luckily Raf was able to keep the bomb busy until Fowler arrived with some scientists to defuse it. The Safe and the Failsafe
The Autobots decorated their base for Christmas, however when Fowler told them the Decepticons had taken over a nuclear-powered ship, Optimus left Bulkhead and Arcee behind to work on their differences. On Raf's suggestion, the pair tried to find a common like, and eventually settled on ice skating. Then they turned the base into an indoor ice rink, which Ratchet didn't seem too enthusiastic about. Ice Breaker
When Raf became hypnotised by a video game and activated the GroundBridge, hordes of Vehicons started pouring into the base. Ratchet activated the base's defenses, providing pop-up metal shields as cover while the Autobots fought back. Raf was eventually snapped out of his trance and turned the GroundBridge into a vacuum that sucking the Vehicons back out, though there were a few loose parts left behind. Tinker, Tailor, Gamer, Spy!
