- Armordillo is a Maximal in the Beast Wars portion of the Generation 1 continuity.
Armordillo has neato infrared vision to see in night cuz it's cold then; if it's hot, more energy is used up. Armordillo ain't a gas guzzler! He also has armor, and a laser gun.

Armordillo was one of the protoforms left behind by the crew of the Axalon on prehistoric Earth. He was activated and put in chronal phase by Razorbeast at Magmatron's request, but was protected from Magmatron's Predacon shell-program by Razorbeast's viral code.
Soon after awakening, he joined up with Bantor, Noctorro, Stinkbomb, and K-9 to free Torce from a tar pit. After following Razorbeast's signal for days, and picking up more Maximals along the way, Armordillo rode into battle against Magmatron's Predacons atop the massive Fuzor, presumably joining up with Razorbeast's army after their victory.

- Armordillo is a flipchanger, transforming from an armadillo, as per the pun, to robot. Contained inside an armadillo foot is a laser gun. Inside another is a mace. The mold was later used for Bump and Psycho Orb.
- In Japan, Armordillo was sold exclusively with Snapper and the Maximal Volcano Base.
