The Omega Lock is located in the Rust Sea, disguised as a nondescript object in the barren wastes. When the four keys are brought to it, however, its true nature is revealed. The ground transforms and pillars rise from the ground, forming a portal. Optimus describes it as a link to the AllSpark.
After they lost all four Omega Keys to the Decepticons, Optimus Prime revealed to his fellow Autobots that the Decepticons still lacked the location of the Omega Lock, which the Keys would activate. It did not take long for the Decepticons to discover its location, however, and a battle ensued in which Team Prime successfully stole the keys back and opened the Omega Lock. Their attempt to make use of it was cut short when Megatron returned with Jack, Miko, and Raf in tow, threatening to expose them to Cybertron's toxic atmosphere if Optimus did not relinquish the Keys.Regeneration
