Making a deal with "Mr Wave", the Tanto Gang took a huge crate and some Zipa Warheads to Laguna de Guatavita in Colombia, where they set the warheads up at the bottom of the lake. When the first was exploded, it revealed El Dorado, the lost city of gold, and Soundwave promptly revealed himself from within the crate. The Decepticon blew up the ship in the lake and opened fire on Kubikiri and his gang. Kubikiri ordered the others to break open the armory so they could fight back, but this plan was scuppered when Optimus Prime and Ratchet arrived and blew up the armory. As Ratchet fired on the Tanto Gang, Optimus and Soundwave fought, plunging into the lake near the second Zipa Warhead, and Kubikiri ordered its detonation. In the ensuing confusion, the Tanto Gang split, though Lennox commented that they might prove to be a serious threat sometime in the future. Gold And Blood
