Toys

United EX

  • Rollermaster vs Choppermaster (Vs pack, 9-22-2012)
    • ID number: EX P1
Available only in the Versus pack with his larger partner (as well as the Autobots Choppermaster and Firebug), Spanner is a redeco of the Power Core Combiners Mini-Con Chainclaw. As the set's instructions appear to be pretty much exactly the US instructions with the text replaced by Japanese, Spanner features only three official modes, instead of the standard four: robot, armor for any Commander robot, and a (non-firing) Powerlinx-plug-mounted multi-missile launcher, which serves as the weapon mode for both his partner's robot and vehicle modes.
The Powerlinx plug on his back makes him compatible with any toy with a Powerlinx socket, enabling you to double-stack Mini-Cons or mount any weapon that has a 5mm post-hole.
This mold was also used to make Power Core Combiners Bomb-Burst and United Fracas.

Notes

  • As this is a story set in the Japanese continuity, Spanner is most likely a Cybertronian, not a Nebulan.
  • His name is a deliberate nod to the Marvel Comics character Spanner, what with Rollermaster being that Spanner's tormentor, Straxus.
  • Also wrench-hands.
