Hipotank, along with the crew of a ship, left Cybertron to escape the Great War. The Autonomy Lesson They settled in a region where they forwent currency and adopted a barter system. Stick Together When the planet was reborn, it sent out a signal to all Cybertronians to return home, and Hipotank's group followed. The planet attacked the ship as it was landing, sending Hipotank into an annoyed mood. He stormed out of his ship to confront Bumblebee and Metalhawk, but calmed down after hearing Metalhawk soundly criticize the Autobots, who then took him on a tour of the city. He later tried to protect Zetca from Needlenose and Horri-Bull's beatings, but was knocked aside by Needlenose. The Autonomy Lesson Hipotank later argued with Tappet over the former's refusal to exchange a Betelgusian sputtle-prog for Cassanian quadrocheques. Stick Together

He was hanging out Tappet and Zetca when Metalhawk introduced Sky-Byte and he got to listen to Zetca explain recent events to the new arrival. A Better Tomorrow

Hipotank was later hanging out at Maccadam's Old Oil House. Interference Patterns and was later among a Cybertronian crowd recruited by Starscream to pressure Prowl into revealing one of his secret discoveries below ground on Cybertron. Later underground, they witnessed a Metrotitan declare that Starscream was the Cybertronian destined to unite their whole race. He and the other Cybertronians celebrated afterwards with Starscream.
