Tony Tallarico Sr.

Tony Tallarico (born September 20, 1933 in New York City) is a comic book artist. He started out in comics in 1954, and drew adaptations of many classics including The Food of the Gods and Homer's The Odyssey. During the 60s, he created Lobo for Dell Comics, the first comic to feature an African-American as the main character. He also teamed up with penciler Bill Fraccio under the pseudonym "Tony Williamson" to draw horror comics for Warren Publishing's magazines. Beginning in the '70s, he began writing and illustrating children's books with his son Tony Tallarico, including a number of Transformers coloring books for Honey Bear Books.
