Tobias Muldoon visited Edison Machine Works in 1888, in an attempt to find a way to deliver a million watts of electricity in one go. Unable to believe Muldoon's request was even possible, Edison threw him out. As Muldoon was leaving the building, he was approached by Tesla, who had grown tired of Edison taking the credit for his work, and had a way of achieving what Muldoon wanted.
