The Benign Intervention is a space ship from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Benign Intervention is a starship under the command of Captain K'gard. It's part of the peacekeeping wing of the Galactic Council.

When the Lost Light intruded on Galactic Council space, it was intercepted by The Benign Intervention, whose captain had some choice words to say. K'gard was talked into cooperating with the Autobots by Ultra Magnus, and used the ship's teleport to beam some of the the Lost Light's crew to the planet below, before bringing Ultra Magnus aboard the Intervention. When the ship was hit by a beam of energy from the planet, K'gard dispatched the ship's compliment of troops to the planet surface and used the Intervention's systems to create an incineration shell around the Lost Light in preparation to destroy the other ship. The timely intervention of a freed Metrotitan meant that the Lost Light escaped destruction and The Benign Intervention continued on its way. Primus: You, Me, and Other Revelations
