Talk:Prowl (disambiguation)
Somebody needs to add the K-Mart (or was it Wal-Mart?) exclusive RiD Prowl redeco to this list. (You know, the barely-recolored one that came out alongside the Side Burn recolor that was just Super Side Burn with most of his car panels turned black.) I'd do it myself, except I cannot get myself to believe he isn't the same guy as RiD Prowl. --Andrusi 03:06, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
- He's the same guy as RiD Prowl, who's already mentioned. --ItsWalky 03:13, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
- He is? Really? Wow. Why can't basically the same toy be the same guy more often? *coughUniverseDefensorcough* --Andrusi 03:29, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
Also Known As
So, should we add "also known as Prowl II, and might also be G1 Prowl" to Owl-Prowl, and "also known as Prowl 2, pending further debate" to RID Prowl? Or leave well enough alone? JW 17:59, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Prowl 2
I got redirected to this page from Prowl 2 but I was looking for information on the RiD Spychanger who was actually called "Prowl 2". Shouldn't he feature here, just to complicate things? [edit] oops forgot so sign this, sorry Emvee 12:18, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- No, because until something official says otherwise, there is no rational reason to think he's anyone but the first RiD Prowl. --M Sipher 00:34, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- You mean the different name and paint deco aren't enough? He was in the same wave as Sideburn, who has the name and paint job of his larger counterpart. --FortMax 00:48, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Considering Side Burn was originally solicited as "Side Burn 2"? No. And come on. As if getting a new deco is unusual in TFdom, especially when your toy is gang-molded with someone else. And I wasn't aware that the original Side Burn had a deep yellow head and thighs. --M Sipher 00:57, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- I didn't know about the Side Burn 2 thing, and I was talking about Side Burn having the Deluxe toy's blue flames, but Prowl 2's car paint doesn't match either Prowl. However, given the Side Burn 2 thing, I concede my point. *wonders if Prowl 2 was used internally to differentiate the toys, but someone accidentally used it on the tackaging* --FortMax 01:40, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Or they were going to tag all of them as "Such-and-Such 2" but changed their minds and the Spy Changer slipped through the cracks.
- Fair enough; I always imagined him as a separate character, but concede that there's no supporting evidence apart from the name. Though I do think Prowl 2 is a great name for a character, and some Spychangers did have quite odd names.

If that's the case should Prowl 2 not redirect to RiD Prowl's page instead of disambiguation? Though that does throw up the problem of someone searching for Prowl II - which is another headache entirely...Emvee 12:18, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
(That being said, I think the Spy Changer's deco is pretty clearly based on "Super Prowl". It's blue on the ends and white in the middle. -LV 02:05, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
