The name or term "Ron" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Ron (disambiguation).
I killed all your childhood heroes.

Ron Friedman (born August 1, 1932) is an American television writer. Prior to working on The Transformers: The Movie, Friedman wrote episodes of live action shows such as Fantasy Island, Chico & the Man, Starsky and Hutch & The Odd Couple. Animation wise, he wrote all four mini series for G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, the first season of the Marvel Action Hour shows, Iron Man & Fantastic Four, and the developer for Bionic 6.

His only voice acting role to date was Blastarr from Fantastic Four. Yeah.

Notes

  • Friedman produced the original screenplay for The Transformers: The Movie, but the script he turned in was judged "incoherent" by writer/story editor Flint Dille and creative director Jay Bacal.[1] Although Dille was subsequently responsible for spearheading the heavy rewriting of the script (beginning with "The Secret of Cybertron"), Friedman had previously negotiated to receive sole credit as writer, and Dille is only credited as "story consultant" (although his credit actually precedes Friedman's onscreen). A similar situation arose in the production of G.I. Joe: The Movie, which was predominantly penned by "story consultant" Buzz Dixon, but again, credited solely to Friedman.
